Setting the Maurice Lacroix Reveil Globe alarm movement based on the original AS 5008 caliber movement.

Inside this cleverly designed movement the rotor winds the two barrels simultaneously. One is responsible for timekeeping whereas the other one winds the mechanical alarm module.
Additionally the timekeeping crown located at 2 o’clock is used for winding the barrel, setting the time and changing the day-date functions as shown in the video above, captured on the watchmakers bench during service and restoration.
The crown located at 4 o’clock is responsible for setting the mechanical alarm function.
This uniquely designed AS 5008 movement first appeared on the market in 1970’s was and is still used as a base caliber by a number of watchbands such as the obvious one in this video, Certina Automatic Alarm, Junghans Top Timer 640.13, Pallas PARA Alarm, BREIL 145 ALARM.
