It is recommended having your Maurice Lacroix luxury watch professionally checked and/or overhauled every four or five years. Historical Info

Although the groundwork for success was laid in 1965, when Zurich-based Desco von Schulthess AG (founded in 1889) acquired a facility in the Canton of Jura that was already producing private label watches for both national and international markets, it would not be until 1975 that the company released its first watch under the Maurice Lacroix label in Austria. It would be another 20 years before the company entered the U.S. market.

Technological Advancements

The brand, Maurice Lacroix, rose to success so quickly after it launched in 1975 that its parent company, Desco, had to cease producing watches and watch parts for third parties by 1980 and solely produce watches under Maurice Lacroix.

Since the early 1990s, the brand has concentrated on developing attractive mechanical watches with many surprising additional functions. Today, the brand is known for its retrograde displays, along with chronographs and moon phase indications.

What Makes Maurice Lacroix Unique

From the start, the goal for Maurice Lacroix luxury watches was to preserve the tradition of Swiss watchmaking while simultaneously creating its own innovative style and movement developments. The design of Maurice Lacroix watches embraces a heightened passion for detail, along with a dose of perfection.
