Jaeger-LeCoultre Watch Repair
Service Recommendations for Jaeger LeCoultre
It is recommended having your Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece serviced at least once every four to five years, just as you would with any other precise mechanical device. This service interval guarantees the watch’s reliability and precision. It is very important to understand that your watch is running non-stop 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The oil and lubrication will eventually dry out and could cause undue wear to the internal components of the watch’s movement. Regular maintenance will prevent this from happening.

Historical Info
In 1833, on a small family farm in Le Sentier, Vaud, Switzerland, Antoine LeCoultre founded a workshop for manufacturing luxury timepieces. LeCoultre was a great visionary and contributed a number of major technological advancements in the industry throughout his life.
In 1937, Antoine’s grandson, Jacques-David LeCoultre, oversaw the union between Parisian Edmond Jaeger and the beginning of the Jaeger-LeCoultre watch brand. The new brand broadened the company’s reputation and blended high-end Swiss watchmaking with French style and overall influence.
Technological Advancements
Antoine LeCoultre was a mastermind of invention. Soon after he founded his small workshop, he created the “millionmeter,” the world’s most precise measuring instrument capable of measuring to thousandths of a millimeter. Antoine carried this expertise in measurements with him throughout his career to create some of the most unique and accurate instruments for measuring time.
In 1903, LeCoultre created the world’s flattest pocket watch caliber, measuring only 1.38mm high. And by 1928 he created the Atmos table clock, which never needed to be wound and that created its power from small changes in air pressure. In the 1930s, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled the Reverso, which had a unique swivel case. This timepiece has been a cult-status watch ever since.
What Makes Jaeger-LeCoultre Unique
The Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece brand is a statement of elegance and innovation. It comes with a long-established Swiss heritage and passion for precision. LeCoultre also founded his company on the premise that the boundaries of timekeeping should always be pushed, and his company crafted more than 350 different timepiece calibers in the first thirty years. So instead of resting on the laurels of only one design, Jaeger-LeCoultre always strives to provide its users something unique.
